First ensure that ice is not jammed in the ejector arm of the ice maker.

A clogged or incorrectly installed water filter will reduce the water flow to the ice maker and dispenser which will result in small ice cubes low ice production or decreased water flow.

If the refrigerator has a water dispenser check for a problem with the filter by doing the following.

Look towards the back of the ice maker itself from inside the freezer the fill tube waterline will come in at the back take a flashlight shine it at the back to check the end of the tube or what you can do is remove the back panel you will see the water lines connected to a solenoid one solenoid is for the disperser the other for the ice maker disconnect the waterline from solenoid blow into it if it is clear then you either have a problem with the ice maker itself or the solenoid.
A standard icemaker should produce about three pounds of ice a day.
The freezer temperature should be set between 0 and 5 degrees fahrenheit 18 to 15c for the ice maker to work properly.
If the freezer temperature is above 10 degrees fahrenheit 12c the ice maker will not produce ice cubes efficiently.
This will likely resolve the issue.
If your refrigerator was just installed it may take 24 hours for ice production to begin and up to three days for full ice production.
Because the ice may not be completely frozen yet when the harvest fingers try to harvest the ice cubes the fingers bring up icy water that attaches to the stripper.
